Patients · 7 days
From check-in to completed, in four states.
Every patient's place is visible to the whole team, in real time.
The receptionist checks the patient in; a daily token number (T-01, T-02…) is assigned automatically.
The patient waits with a clear position. The whole team sees the same live order — no shouting names down the corridor.
Call the next token from your phone. Vitals, history and today's notes are already on screen when they walk in.
Visit done, record saved. On-hold and automatic no-show handling keep the line moving when patients step away.
No kiosk. No ticket printer. No chaos.
The whole front desk lives in the app — on the phones your team already carries.
Tokens reset daily
Token numbers reset at clinic-local midnight, wherever your clinic is in the world — every day starts at T-01.
One queue, every role
Owner, Doctor, Receptionist and Nurse see the same live queue with role-appropriate permissions.
No-shows handled
Unanswered tokens are marked automatically and the queue moves on — your no-show rate is tracked in analytics.
Patients seen, no-show rate and average consult time — tracked in analytics.
Clinic token systems, explained.
What is a clinic token system?
A token system gives every patient a numbered place in the day's queue (T-01, T-02…) instead of a paper register or a crowd at the desk. In Shifaa AI, tokens are assigned at check-in, tracked live through Arrived, In queue, With doctor and Completed, and reset at clinic-local midnight.
Do I need a separate screen or hardware?
No. The queue runs entirely inside the Shifaa AI app on iOS and Android — the receptionist checks patients in on one phone, the doctor calls tokens from another. No kiosk, ticket printer or desktop required.
Can my receptionist manage the queue?
Yes. Receptionist is a built-in role with its own permissions: registering patients, assigning tokens, recording vitals hand-offs and managing the day's flow — while clinical notes stay with the doctor.
What happens to no-shows?
Tokens that aren't answered are marked no-show automatically and the queue moves on. Your no-show rate is tracked in analytics so you can see patterns over time.
